Your Opportunity

The Platform Owner ensures the management of the platform for Overwrapping products. That includes the management of: - Specifications - Modular architecture - Evolutions - Cost and Technical performance The Platform Owner has a transversal role within the Sidel organization. More specifically, he works closely with the Product Manager to ensure the portfolio management and the product roadmap execution. He is the owner and the leader of the CE marking certification for his platform. In strong collaboration with the team, you will have the opportunity to shape the platform of a major actor by bringing your technical expertise in terms of product solutions, by proposing reliable concepts and by engaging the team.

Your Mission

  • Manage and control the platform evolutions : define needs, priorities and coherence with platform/modules architecture, performance, risk, cost and delivery impact
  • Ensure the implementation of PDP Product Life Cycle activities (Care : Product Evolution Request, Range extension etc.) and associated budget
  • Ensure technical documentation availability, quality and continuous update
  • Secure implementation of main technical guidelines or regulations  (safety, hygienic design, automation, etc.)
  • Provide business support by participating in customers & project meetings (performances issues, technical improvement requests, etc.) and secure availability of sales quotation tools (platform dimensioning tools, consumption tables, etc.)
  • Is a key technical referent and support the team in fixing technical complex issues
  • Act as a change agent to support the successful assessment and introduction of technical concepts

Your Profile

  • High technical skills related to the portfolio > 10-15 years experienced in the targeted portfolio
  • Mechanical, mechatronical profile or automation
  • Ability to challenge a design : robustness, easy-to-use, modularisation, cost, delivery time and to propose alternative reliable concepts
  • Customer centric, Result-oriented
  • Strong Leadership skills and ability to drive change, natural authority to engage team, ability to work cross-functionally with other departments and good team facilitation skills
  • Collaborative: high ability to listen to colleagues, interface with different departments and work in a matrix organization
  • 5 years of experience in the management of technical teams
  • Autonomy, method and organizational skills

  • Technical problem solving
  • Knowledge : Customer needs, competitor applications and technological choices – Technological trends – Finance basis, Cost awareness – Supply basis – Quality 6Sigma
  • Fluent in English
