Shrink-film remains the material of choice for your sustainability objectives. At a pack level, the Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of shrink film is extremely good compared to other secondary packaging thanks to its many options it offers:
•    Possible use of bio-sourced film or 100% recycled & recyclable films
•    Use of recycled materials as they do not affect the film transparency and brightness
•    Film thickness: from 27 to 100 microns (1.08 to 4 mils), allowing potential material reduction
•    Very controlled heating process, for significant reduction of energy consumption on the shrink tunnel
•    Weight characteristics along the overall chain is very much in favor of film: from the transportation of film reels to the weight of the finished transportation unit
