Sidel is committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as both a moral imperative and a strategic priority.
Sidel values all gender identities, disabilities, ages, nationalities, and ethnicities, enabling employees to fully express themselves. Diversity supports access to a wider talent pool, enhances decision-making, and helps create a dynamic environment for stakeholders.
In 2023, Sidel defined Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging as strategic priorities and began implementing a concrete action plan, starting with gender and nationality.
One key initiative is the SustainabilityBuildersNetwork, bringing together individuals with different genders, geographical backgrounds, roles, and organisational levels dedicated to sustainability and DEI. The group focuses on updating policies to better embed DEI principles and promote open dialogue.
The 2024 plan emphasizes awareness and training so employees understand DEI’s importance. This includes:
For gender diversity, Sidel is implementing a mentoring program and a women’s representative group that offers support and guidance. Generational diversity is promoted through the Buddy Program pairing senior employees with newcomers for knowledge sharing and integration.
