Cermex CareSelect

The Cermex CareSelect is a shaped bottle infeed system designed to deliver non-round, shaped and unstable containers to downstream packing machines with precision, care and correct orientation. Using Rockwell Automation's iTRAK linear motor technology, CareSelect achieves speeds of up to 400 products per minute and enables fully automatic changeovers in under one minute with no mechanical adjustments required. 

What is a shaped bottle infeed system?

A shaped bottle infeed system manages the transition between accumulation or conveying and the infeed of a packing machine. Shaped bottles - flat, oval, rectangular or irregular formats - present alignment, orientation and stability challenges that a standard screw cannot reliably solve. A dedicated shaped bottle infeed system such as CareSelect handles each container individually, ensuring correct pitch, orientation and gentle handling at high speed. 

iTRAK technology - individual container handling

CareSelect uses independent movers driven by Rockwell Automation's iTRAK linear synchronous motor system. Each container is transported by its own mover, eliminating accumulation pressure between containers. This reduces friction time - the period during which a bottle contacts machine parts - by at least 20 times compared to an endless screw infeed. For shaped, premium or fragile containers, this reduction in mechanical stress is critical. 

Automatic changeovers and production flexibility

CareSelect supports fully automatic changeovers in under one minute, with no mechanical adjustments and no tools required. Mover configuration and product guide adaptation are executed automatically from the HMI, supporting high-mix production environments with frequent SKU changes. 

Applications and container types 

CareSelect is suitable for irregular plastic bottles for premium spirits and wines, oval or rectangular containers for personal care and food products, and lightweight or unstable PET formats. It is particularly well suited to secondary packaging lines where pack quality and presentation standards are high.
