Combining

Sidel's combiner conveyors merge two or more container streams into a single file without applying accumulation pressure to the containers. This pressureless, container-friendly approach protects fragile, shaped and luxury containers from mechanical stress and surface damage during the combining process. Compatible with a wide range of container formats - bottles, cans, tins, jars - in plastic, glass and metal, the combiners offer precise dosing and high-speed control even for unstable bottles.

What is a combiner conveyor?

A combiner conveyor takes two or more parallel container streams and merges them into a single controlled flow to feed downstream machines such as labellers, fillers or packers. Effective combining is essential on lines where upstream equipment feeds at a higher aggregate rate than a single downstream machine can accept, while preserving container orientation and preventing gaps in the output stream.

Pressureless design for spirits, luxury and fragile products

Sidel's combiners are specifically designed to be pressureless, making them the preferred choice for spirits, premium wines and luxury personal care products where surface integrity and label appearance are critical commercial requirements.

Container and format compatibility

  • Plastic bottles: round, square-round and shaped PET formats
  • Glass bottles: round and shaped, full or empty
  • Aluminium cans and metal tins: standard and slim formats
  • Glass and plastic jars: food and personal care formats

Dosing and combining management is ultra-precise, with high-speed combining performance maintained even for unstable or lightweight bottles.
