Logoplaste achieves efficient solutions with Sidel Services Online

The challenge

Logoplaste, founded in 1976 and headquartered in Portugal, has pioneered in-house manufacturing with its approach of supplying just-in-time plastic packages manufactured at plants installed directly within its clients’ sites. This means that Logoplaste is fully integrated into the supply chain process. The majority of Logoplaste’s installed base of stretch blow moulding comprises Sidel blowers: proof of a winning business relationship between the two companies. That partnership is one of the main reasons Logoplaste decided to adopt Sidel Services Online as part of its strategy to embrace the digital revolution. “Given the number of references for spare parts we are handling in each region around the world, we wanted  our plants to operate in a much more efficient way,” says Diogo Cortez, Industrial Buyer at Logoplaste.

The solution

Sidel Services Online is a faster and easier way to handle all spare parts needs. Available in six languages, it provides Sidel customers with a full overview of their installed equipment with real-time information on parts availability and price. With all relevant technical documentation and detailed e-catalogues easily accessible through intuitive navigation for spare parts search and identification, it offers one-stop shopping for original Sidel spare parts. Having independent access from their installed base has been particularly popular with users who can locate the parts and view their function online.

The outcome

Before the implementation of the Sidel Services Online web interface, the Logoplaste site or plant manager, maintenance manager and internal procurement personnel or buyers would have to manage their spare parts following several steps. “Now our personnel can now quickly consult online catalogues, where available information is standardised, through easy identification and selection of the right parts from both drawings and parts lists. By streamlining the whole procedure and optimising resources, our spare parts handling, as a result, is simpler, faster and more efficient,” explained Diego Cortez, Industrial Buyer at Logoplaste.

"“Today all 15 Logoplaste plants in Europe are connected to Sidel Services Online, with each plant having an average of two or three users. The Sidel Services Online interface is very user-friendly. Nevertheless, Sidel supplied online training to explain to Logoplaste users how to get the most out of the system.”"
