Sidel Is looking for a highly motivated Accountant to be responsible for quality and accuracy of financial data, who can effectively analyze and explain financial results to management successfully support Finance Manager in daily, monthly, and quarterly duties

Your Mission

Month-End Close:
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
  • Identify errors in financials and make appropriate correcting entries
  • Monitor and report margins on maintenance contracts and spare parts
  • Calculate field service installation billing and PM rebilling
  • Report weekly sales of spare parts
  • Record monthly recurring journal entries
  • Calculate, review, and record work-in-progress inventory
  • Make entries for inventory obsolescence provisions
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition for projects
  • Review and correct settlement rules on SAP work orders
  • Prepare monthly sales and margin uploads for Business Objects
  • Enter financial information into Group Reporting Packages
  • Forecast monthly cash flows
  • Hold monthly P&L review meetings with department managers
  • Make recommendations for scrapping of non-moving inventory
  • Ensure complete monthly posting of all labor on jobs and make accruals as needed
  • Post biweekly payroll journal entries and accruals
Other Responsibilities:
  • Assist with budget preparation and revised forecasts
  • Prepare audit schedules as needed
  • Update vendors in SAP as needed
  • Perform all other accounting duties as assigned by the Finance Manager

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required. CPA/CMA certification or MBA is preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience is required. Manufacturing experience preferred
  • IFRS experience preferred
  • In depth knowledge of financial controls and financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Proven ability to manage time and work in team environment
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and Access and good working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in SAP is preferred
  • Able to work independently and productively from home as required
