SAP CO-PS Lead

Your opportunity

As the SAP CO-PS Lead, you will be a key member of the SAP CoE team, who can take responsibility for driving and supporting the Controlling (CO) / Project Systems (PS) module, with specific emphasis on in-depth and advanced knowledge of Result Analysis, and functionalities across SAP ECC and S/4HANA platforms. This role involves direct engagement with implementation and AMS support partners, ensuring effective delivery and support of finance-related processes, including project controlling and period-end activities. You will also play a vital role in the Central Finance (CFin) integration journey and ensure smooth coordination during project execution and operational support.

Your Mission

• In-depth and advanced knowledge of Result Analysis, Cost Objects, Project Settlements, and Budget Management.
• Lead and manage SAP CO and PS processes across both SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in handling commercial projects for industrial equipment businesses, from sales quotation to project closure, with MRP integration through networks.
• Support and optimize key processes such as Result Analysis, Project Costing, Settlements, and WBS/Network configurations.
• Drive seamless integration of CO and PS modules with FI, MM, SD, and PP.
• Act as the primary CO-PS lead from the SAP CoE team for the global S/4HANA “Aurora” implementation program, coordinating closely with implementation partners.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in coordination with central and local finance teams.
• Collaborate with SAP AMS vendors and internal SAP CoE teams to resolve incidents, deliver change requests, and drive enhancements.
• Promote adoption of SAP standard functionalities while reducing dependency on custom developments.
• Provide functional support for SAP Central Finance (CFin) integration from ECC and legacy systems into S/4HANA.
• Bring working knowledge of S/4HANA integration with embedded SAP BW for managerial (CO) reporting.
• Conduct knowledge transfer, training sessions, and mentor junior team members to build internal capability.
• Stay current with SAP S/4HANA innovations and continuously recommend improvements and best practices.

Your Profile

• 10–12 years of hands-on experience in SAP CO and PS modules across ECC and S/4HANA platforms.
• In-depth and advanced knowledge of Result Analysis, Cost Objects, Project Settlements, and Budget Management.
• Strong background in SAP implementation, rollout, and AMS support projects.
• Experience working in complex global organizations with multiple stakeholders, including Digital Business Partners, Global Process Owners, Local Key Users, and external implementation partners.
• Solid understanding of SAP integration points with Finance, Logistics, and Manufacturing processes.
• Prior involvement in SAP Central Finance (CFin) implementation is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Education & Languages:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.

Additional Information:

• Location: Pune, India (Hybrid)
• Occasional travel to project locations (e.g., Italy) based on project needs.
• Role reports to the SAP Program Manager or SAP CoE Head.
