Sidel is looking for a Manager Engineering Process & Tools / CoE who will play a pivotal leadership role within the engineering organization. The successful candidate will drive the evolution and future growth of the Engineering Process & Tools landscape by defining a clear vision and strategy to enhance efficiency and consistency, while leading a team of experts and collaborating across multiple functions in a dynamic, international environment.
The Manager Engineering Process & Tools / CoE will be responsible for the strategic alignment and execution of engineering tools (PLM, BOM, CAD), as well as leading the Centre of Expertise (CoE) for Engineering to Order (ETO) and Engineering for Innovation (EFI). The role also includes oversight of the PMO function, managed by a direct report.
Your Mission
- Lead the strategic roadmap and execution of engineering tools including PLM, BOM structure, and CAD systems.
- Drive the completion of the engineering tools alignment project across the Sidel group and initiate the conversion to a new PLM platform.
- Establish and lead the Centre of Expertise (CoE) for ETO and EFI, promoting best practices, tools, and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and implement standardized project and resource management methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align strategic objectives and ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor performance through KPIs and metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering functions.
- Mentor and develop a team of experts and junior managers to build a high-performing engineering support organization.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, IT, or related field; advanced degree or project management certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing engineering tools and PLM systems, with a strong understanding of CAD, BOM, and ERP integration.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a dynamic international environment.
- Experience in project and resource management, including Agile methodologies and strategic planning.
- Knowledge of PLM and CAD software, technical documentation tools, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC6, S/4Hana).
- Demonstrated ability to lead transformation initiatives and manage complex engineering projects.
