Your opportunity
What if you could shape the next generation of motion technologies for future Sidel equipment?
Join the international Automation 4.0 Team and become a technical reference driving Innovation in motion and motors technologies for next-generation equipment.
In this role, you will be at the forefront driving the adoption, mastery, and standardization of emerging motion and mechatronic technologies, going beyond traditional and PM/Brushless motors toward Track and Planar solutions to enable new levels of flexibility, speed and precision in automation.
You will work transversally, collaborate across sites with automation, electrical, software, and mechanical teams and suppliers to define architecture, control strategies, and synchronization concepts for future Sidel equipment.
Your Mission
- Lead
the exploration, evaluation, benchmarking and integration of new motion
and motors technologies (dimensioning, performance, limits) with a focus
also on track and planar linear motor systems and Hybrid solutions (rotary +
linear);
- Evaluate
new motion platforms and suppliers from a mechatronic and automation
perspective;
- Design
and optimize mechatronic architectures for advanced automation platforms,
ensuring seamless integration of diverse motor technologies;
- Develop
and maintain control algorithms and software for synchronization,
trajectory planning, and multi-axis coordination;
- Define
and implement protocols for real-time synchronization between motors,
tracks, and planar systems;
- Support
the development and testing of equipment and test benches, from concept to
field validation, supporting moreover simulation, digital twin, and test
bench activities;
- Evaluate
eventual Robotic platforms integration;
- Create
guidelines and rules for Mechanical motion system integration;
- Prepare
technical documentation for Mechanical dimensioning, Architectures, Protocols,
and Projects;
- Ensure
Safety related concepts application for Standard motors, Track &
Planar systems;
- Ensure
rigorous testing and validation of mechatronics systems, following defined
methodologies;
- Provide
technical leadership and mentoring on motion and motors innovation topics.
