Your opportunity

Sidel is looking for an Industrial Designer to lead the design system for our filling lines. You will be responsible for creating modular, coherent, and production-ready design solutions emphasizing ergonomics and hygienic design. Experience in beverage/food machinery and strong CAD skills required.

Your Mission

Responsible for defining and evolving the look & feel and visual identity of Sidel equipment across the product portfolio. The role focuses on ensuring a consistent, recognizable, and high-quality machine image across different product lines, translating brand values into coherent design solutions. Working closely with engineering and product teams, the designer will balance aesthetic intent with technical and industrial constraints, contributing to a strong and unified portfolio identity.

Main responsibilities

  • Monitor market and competitor trends and propose aesthetic/functional innovations.
  • Define and develop the overall look & feel of machines across the product portfolio
  • Ensure visual and aesthetic consistency across different product lines and platforms
  • Translate brand values and design language into coherent machine designs
  • Create and maintain design guidelines and visual standards for the portfolio
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to integrate design intent with technical constraints
  • Support concept development for new machines and evolution of existing ones

Your Profile

Required

  • Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering with design focus, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of industrial design experience applied to machines or packaging lines (experience in beverage/food preferred)
  • Strong CAD 3D skills (SolidWorks / Creo / NX / Rhino + Alias for surfacing)
  • Knowledge of DfM (design for manufacturing), DfA (design for assembly), ergonomics, operator usability
  • Basic knowledge of food-contact & hygienic design regulations; understanding of CE certification process
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence design consistency at portfolio level
  • Fluent English (written & spoken).

Preferred

  • Experience with Hygienic Design and materials/finishes for food industry.
  • Rendering/presentation skills (KeyShot, Blender, Adobe Suite).
  • Prototyping experience, 3D printing, ergonomic/usability testing.
  • Experience in cross-functional work on complete lines and global rollouts.
