Your opportunity
The Sidel Dry Field Area Department manages all technical activities at customer plants during service and project interventions. While the role is primarily based at customer sites, it also includes back-office support for the Field Team and GPS office. As an Automation Specialist, you will perform the installation, startup, commissioning, and final testing of Sidel End-of-Line (EOL) equipment, ensuring high-performance standards and technical excellence.
Your Mission
- Commissioning &
Testing: Lead the installation, startup, and final
acceptance testing of Sidel End-of-Line (EOL) equipment at customer sites,
with a focus on advanced automation systems.
- Customer Advisory: Develop
a deep understanding of customer requirements to provide expert advice and
ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Performance Evaluation: Test
and evaluate equipment performance at the customer plant, ensuring full
compliance with technical, contractual, and safety specifications.
- Non-Conformity
Management: Properly identify, document, and manage all
technical non-conformities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Root Cause Analysis
(RCA): Execute RCA on automation-related issues,
implementing effective recovery plans and corrective actions.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare
accurate project progress charts and detailed weekly technical reports
regarding all executed activities.
Your Profile
- Education: Technical
diploma in Electronics or Automation; a degree in Electronic/Automation
Engineering is a plus.
- Experience: Proven
experience with End-of-Line (EOL) machinery, specifically in installation
and commissioning activities.
- Electrical Fundamentals: Solid
knowledge of electrical safety equipment, sensors, motion control, servo
drives, and inverters.
- PLC Programming: Proficiency
in Siemens (S7, SCL, TIA Portal); experience with Allen-Bradley (A&B)
is a significant plus.
- Motion Control &
Robotics: Hands-on experience with Elau motion control and
Fanuc robotics.
- HMI Systems: Experience
with Siemens and A&B HMI platforms, specifically with ZenOn
applications.
- Mobility: Willingness
to travel to customer sites as required.
