Key qualities recognised in Sidel’s 2026 certification
Sidel emphasises that Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles are key for driving positive change. In order to achieve this goal, they have joined forces with customers, suppliers, external partners and communities.
For this year’s assessment, Sidel boasted their environmental leadership and advanced ESG reporting, demonstrating a structured approach to environmental management, transparency and performance disclosure.
Sidel’s vast supply chain and robust deployment also reflect the integration of sustainability principles throughout procurement processes and supplier engagement activities, with high social performance and integrated ethics practices being supported by strong governance, people-focused initiatives and a culture of integrity soaring throughout the organisation.
“This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of teams across the entire organisation,” said Francesca Bellucci, Vice-President for Strategy and Sustainability at Sidel.
“Achieving EcoVadis Gold at Group level demonstrates that sustainability is deeply embedded in the way we operate and create value for our customers, employees, partners and communities. While we are proud of this accomplishment, we also see it as an incentive to continue raising our ambitions and driving continuous improvement.”
Acting for sustainable transformation of the packaging industry
While celebrating this benchmark, Sidel still remains focused on its long-term sustainability ambitions. It’s decarbonisation strategy aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 72.8% and Scope 3 by 30% by 2030, when compared to the levels of 2019. Sidel is also working towards achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the whole value chain (Scope 1, 2, and 3) by 2050.
The company will continue to strengthen its ESG performance, supporting customers in their sustainability transition, and advancing the roadmap towards its ever-higher standards of sustainability excellence.
