At Sidel, we recognize the urgency of tackling climate change and are fully committed to taking science-based, decisive action. Our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets, approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), are aligned with the goals of the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
SBTi is a globally recognized partnership between CDP, the UN Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), promoting science-based emissions reduction as a standard for corporate climate responsibility.
Sidel Group commits to reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 72.8% by 2030, from a 2019 base year, and to reducing absolute scope 3 emissions by 46.2% within the same timeframe. Additionally, Sidel commits to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050.
This long-term commitment is supported by concrete short- and mid-term targets and a robust decarbonization plan. Our approach is guided by science and built on transparency, operational efficiency, and innovation.
We are listed in the official SBTi target database, available here.
