Your opportunity

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the cost reduction and cost deviation (PCR&PCD) programs of equipment’s in production. He/She will support Engineering and sourcing SDE for critical parts/functionalities the early involvement of supplier in full technical specification definition and confirmation including quality and reliability parameters. He/She will define sourcing strategies for assigned New Product Development projects in agreement with the commodity. He/she will develop and implement supply chain for NPD programs with the aim to achieve best in class solutions in terms of quality, cost and time to market.

Your Mission

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and reporting on equipment material costs, manage cost reduction activities while identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Acting as interface between Engineering, Sourcing Commodities and Suppliers in innovation and in development projects to manage sourcing activities and prepare procurement.
  • Leading the sourcing plan for each assigned New Product Development (NPD) and New Technology Development (NTD) projects and ensuring sourcing Platform transversal projects.
  • Ensuring early involvement of strategic suppliers in concept study in order to achieve material quality and costs targets.
  • Coordinating New Product Development (NPD) sourcing review to ensure that global commodity deliver according to the program targets (supplier selection, contract, target cost achievement, supplier and product qualification, lead time, risk management).
  • Participating to improve tools, processes and interactions with other global commodities and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring early et regular involvement of Supplier Development Engineers (SDE) and global commodities for new supplier or new supply qualification.
  • Communicating effectively and managing relationships with relevant internal stakeholders, to contribute to the cross-functional projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with the sourcing processes.

Your Profile

  • Min 5 years in strategic sourcing in an international manufacturing companies.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment or sales is a plus.
  • Experience in international negotiations, contract and claim management.
  • Experience outside of own country of origin is a plus.
  • Very good negotiation skills as key element in order to communicate with both suppliers and
    other stakeholders.
  • Lean Specialist and/or Green Belt Certifications.
