Your opportunity
The Project Manager Packaging is very experienced technical expert in the field of Stretch Blow Molding technologies, PET material, Packaging design & Engineering, has competence in sensitive products and related aseptic technologies and has also appropriate technical skills in bottling lines design and technologies. He (She) will become the representative for all packaging activities within the North Americas region related to line conversion project and will support from the precontracting technical assessment to successful product industrialization according to customer expectation while preserving the interests of the organization. He (She) is very much customer-oriented (internally and externally) and has some promoting & sales abilities to help developing services businesses through our front-line organization.
Your Mission
- Manage Line conversion related packaging development projects from pre-contracting assessment and offers to product industrialization.
- Evaluate technical feasibility and risks of a Pkg/Line conversion project, accompany customer during trials, seeks support from RPE (Regional Packaging Expert) and PFO (Platform Owner) as required for level 3/4 projects.
- Execute Pkg/Line conversion project following the QTC‐S process (molds, trials launch, Microbiological test, Product characteristic analyzes, filling sloshing simulation etc.). Level 3/4 complexity with RPE and PFO’s support.
- Responsible for the Quality, Cost, Delivery (timeline) of the projects from Pre-contracting to project closure.
- Manage project crisis and plan for a course of action in conjunction with all project stakeholders, including RPE and PFO's support for most critical issues.
- "Go‐to" PM for general support to PMS and ASM about Packaging and Line troubleshooting (L1/2), L3/4 with RPE and PFO’s support.
- Support After Sales on the front line and help track Pkg/Line Conversion opportunities to new and small customers.
- Provide accurate, up‐to‐date project information to ensure reporting is properly completed.
- Manage coordination of on‐site technicians for line testing run, and validation activities with process authority.
- Propose additional Services Products when required to secure project success and to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Alongside the RPE and LPM, communicate with Product Managers for updates, new Packaging developments, applications and technology.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering, or a related field (master’s degree is considered an asset).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Spanish required; Italian and French are considered strong assets.
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in stretch blow molding technologies and PET packaging design.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic and sensitive product applications.
- Solid understanding of bottling line design and equipment technologies.
- Service-oriented mindset with strong awareness of line conversion requirements and operational constraints.
- Proven project management and product promotion skills.
- Significant experience in customer relationship management and key account support.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the Americas region as required.
