RECO Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and rebuilding new and refurbished parts for blowers, fillers, and labelers. You will receive training and coaching from the RECO Coordinator to ensure your success in the role and to help you quickly become an effective member of our team. Reconditioning of Equipment and Spare Parts:
1. RECO Technicians are responsible for the inspection, disassembly, cleaning,
repair, and reassembly of used Sidel equipment and spare parts. Their goal is
to restore components to original specifications and ensure they meet Sidel’s
quality standards.
2. Quality Control:
Perform detailed quality checks on reconditioned parts and equipment, using
measurement tools and testing procedures to verify functionality and compliance
with technical requirements.
3. Technical Reporting:
RECO Technicians document the new/reconditioning process, including the
condition of received parts, work performed, and final test results. Provide
feedback to your supervisor and teammates on recurring issues or potential
improvements.
5. Support for Field Operations:
RECO Technicians may assist Field Service Engineers (FSEs) by preparing
new/reconditioned parts for field interventions or providing technical advice
on the suitability of new/reconditioned components for specific customer needs.
6. Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all new/reconditioning activities are performed in accordance with
Sidel’s safety, quality, and environmental standards.
7. Continuous Improvement:
RECO Technicians contribute to process improvements by suggesting ways to
enhance new/reconditioning efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and increase
the lifespan of parts.
Summary:
The RECO Technician plays a key role in extending the lifecycle of Sidel
equipment and spare parts, supporting sustainability, reducing costs for
customers, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Your expertise directly
impacts spare parts availability, customer satisfaction, and the overall
efficiency of the Spare Parts Services department.
Education:
High
School diploma or equivalent (such as a GED).
Experience:
2
to 4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assemblies rebuilds, preferably
in an industrial, manufacturing, or equipment maintenance environment.
Additional
Considerations:
Experience
with new/reconditioning, repairing, or overhauling mechanical components is
highly valued.
Familiarity
with Sidel equipment or similar packaging machinery is a plus.
Technical
certifications or vocational training in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or
a related field can be advantageous but are not always required.
