Automation Software Engineer

Your opportunity

Automation Software Engineer will be in charge of developing the programs for PLCs and HMIs of Sidel conveying equipment and lines, ensuring both the correct automation integration of Sidel and Third-party equipment’s, and the proper implementation of conveyor and line automation control.

Your Mission

• Develops programs for PLCs and HMIs of Sidel conveyor equipment and lines
• Participates in project technical review meetings (together with project team)
• Performs Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of conveyor electrical cabinets before shipment
• Ensures that the information necessary to finalize the programming are clearly defined
• Ensures proper automation control of Sidel and Third-party equipment
• Ensures that the conveyor/machine interfaces are correctly defined and implemented in the program
• Provides technical support to field engineers during commissioning

Your Profile

• Technical diploma or University degree in Electrical and Automation Engineering
• Mastery of automation and industrial communication networks
• Good electrical knowledge
• Knowledge of PLCs & HMIs software from the main suppliers (Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
• Knowledge of frequency inverter range from the main suppliers (SEW, Danfoss)
• Programming experience with Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC Flexible or Unified, software
• Knowledge of Rockwell PLC and HMI software is a plus
• Knowledge of conveying system and associated concepts
• Fluent Portuguese & English (other languages as French or Spanish are a plus)

• Availability for short term business trip within Europe
• Basic knowledge of the CE Norms and Regulations will be appreciated
