Service Mechanical Engineer

The Service Engineering Team is looking for a Service Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Service Engineering team. The role involves working within a project team to support the development and maintenance of mechanical modules.

Your Mission

• Responsible for the study phase of parts, sub-assemblies, or complete modules.
• Accountable for mechanical design in line with technical feasibility and product target costs.
• Manage technical problem-solving activities, participating in or organizing design reviews, qualification reviews, functional analyses, and FMEA analyses.
• Work autonomously in managing detailed tasks, ensuring compliance with planning and project timelines.
• Accountable for strict compliance with Sidel design specifications, design processes, product evolution processes, and architecture governance (platform architecture, standardization principles, granularity rules, and interface standardization levels).
• Ensure the quality of assembly drawings, design models, calculation notes, and functional analyses.
• Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects.
• Accountable for design reviews related to obsolete components, in accordance with phase-out strategies and target costs.
• Accountable for customer visits to define and clarify project requirements in detail.

Your Profile

• Knowledge of labelling machines (or similar equipment) in the packaging industry.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks, or equivalent) and ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of 2D CAD software (AutoCAD).
• At least 2-8 yrs experience in technical office.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical High School Diploma.
• English level B1.
• Availability to travel (up to 20 working days per year).
