Sidel is looking for a PLM and CAD Tool Manager, to Secure and Foster the evolutions and future growth of PLM and engineering Tools landscape building a vision and a strategy to maintain and improve efficiency and consistency, driving a team of experts and collaborating with several company functions in a very dynamic and international context.
Your Mission
The PLM & CAD Tools Manager is responsible for ensuring that Sidel’s use of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools contributes to improved efficiency, quality, and productivity across the organization, while complying with all Sidel policies, guidelines, and security standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure efficient and secure use of PLM and CAD tools across the organization to improve engineering productivity, data quality, and cross-functional collaboration, in full compliance with internal policies and IT security standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and lead the adoption of new functionalities, technologies, and tools that enhance PLM and CAD capabilities, aligned with Sidel’s strategic goals.
- Guarantee seamless integration between PLM and other core systems, including ERP, AI-driven product lifecycle tools, documentation platforms, ESG data management, cybersecurity, digital twin/thread, and supplier quality systems.
- Lead all PLM and CAD-related projects—new implementations, system evolutions, and improvements—ensuring on-time delivery, cost control, quality, and secure IT environments.
- Define and maintain the strategic vision and roadmap for PLM and CAD tools in coordination with Engineering, IT, and Supply Chain, supporting process harmonization and standardization across multiple sites and product lines.
- Act as process owner for PLM and CAD, ensuring that processes, standards, and best practices are defined, kept up to date, and applied consistently throughout the organization.
- Coordinate a governance model for PLM and CAD tools, managing the user community and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
- Organize and oversee user support and training initiatives, ensuring guidelines and procedures are accessible and followed, and that competence development is actively managed.
- Monitor usage, adoption, and performance through KPIs and other metrics; identify issues, drive corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Business/Management Engineering, IT Engineering, or an equivalent field. They have a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and are familiar with current market trends in PLM and CAD tools.
Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams are essential. The candidate demonstrates excellent leadership and communication abilities, is proactive, and has a strong analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
Proficiency in CAD and PLM software (including Data Management Tools), technical documentation tools, and general IT systems (computers and networks) is required. Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP ECC6 and S/4HANA, is considered a strong asset.
