Your opportunity

Sidel is looking for a Field Service Engineer that performs Installation, start‐up, commissioning and test of the Sidel Equipment supplied to customer sites. The candidate must perform technical assistance during and after the warranty period, carry out training and other after sales services of Sidel`s equipment installed at customer sites. Develop a good understanding of the customer needs to provide objective advice and to ensure customer satisfaction.

Your Mission

  • Test and evaluate equipment performance at customer plant, based on technical, contractual and safety specifications
  • Properly handle, check and transfer equipment non-conformities
  • Prepare Job Progress Chart and technical reports in reference to carried-out activities
  • Ensure ultimate internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Perform activities in line with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sidel coordination plan rules and customer rules
  • Report after sales opportunities detected on Customer site
  • Technical activities, troubleshooting and reporting deliverables
  • Report to the Installation Site Manager for team site activities

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in engineering (+2) and/or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent level of English is a must.
  • Specialization in auto-mechanic or aseptic is a plus.
  • Spanish, Italian and/or French is an advantage.
  • Experience in the beverage/packaging industry is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience in field activities.
  • Technical subject matter expertise on Mechanical, Automation (B&R, siemens, Elau & AB) Electrical or Aseptic.
  • Availability to travel up to 90 % (Including International Locations).
Without being limited to those activities, the Field Service Engineer must be:
  • Having the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis, at a pace consistent with other employees performing similar work.
  • Having the capability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods of time, at a pace consistent with the position’s demands.
  • Having the ability to work comfortably in confined spaces, on rooftops, and at heights, while using appropriate fall protection and safety equipment.
  • Having manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary for operating tools, handling parts, and working with delicate components.
  • Having the ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold.
  • Having the ability to drive and travel long distances, including occasional assignments with short notice.
  • Having the ability to wear and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and respirators.
  • Having the ability to perform duties under time constraints and in high-pressure situations.
