Hauser Weinimport and Sidel celebrate 15 years of aseptic PET excellence, surpassing 600 million bottles

The challenge

Hauser’s broad product portfolio, especially its variety of teas and beverages, posed a challenge in maintaining productivity during frequent changeovers. Sidel addressed this by implementing an aseptic PET line featuring its patented Predis™ dry preform sterilisation. This allowed operators to complete changeovers swiftly, minimising downtime and boosting overall efficiency.

The solution

Installed at Hauser’s Fischbach plant, the aseptic line offers complete flexibility for filling different tea flavours and the signature Sangria beverage, El Curador. Running at 18,000 bottles per hour in 0.5L format, it also handles 1L and 1.5L formats.

Hauser was the first in Germany to adopt Sidel’s patented Predis™ technology, which uses a hydrogen peroxide mist to sterilise the preform before it is blown into a bottle, ensuring aseptic packaging without rinsing. This cutting-edge system has provided guaranteed product quality, seamless operations, and strengthened consumer confidence.

The outcome

Over 15 years of operation, the line has produced more than 600 million bottles, reinforcing Hauser’s ability to deliver safe, high-quality beverages across a wide range of flavours and formats.

The company values its long-standing partnership with Sidel, supported by comprehensive maintenance and advanced care systems. Regular diagnostic checks, reporting, and proactive measures from Sidel technicians keep the line running smoothly. This partnership helps Hauser meet evolving consumer demands while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and sustainable production.

Above all, product quality is a must for Hauser, and it is with this in mind that we originally installed the aseptic packaging line from Sidel. The close working relationship between Sidel and Hauser contributes to maximum productivity with minimal operational interruptions.
