Farmavita elevates PET bottle quality with Sidel’s EvoBLOW™ technology

The challenge

Farmavita faced three manufacturing challenges, the hydrogen‑peroxide formulas used in its products risked generating internal pressure capable of deforming standard HDPE bottles. In addition, the chosen TIO₂ white preforms, key to achieving a premium opaque finish, were harder to blow and required longer, more precise heating. Finally, limited floor space demanded a compact, customised equipment layout that could still maintain high output.

The solution

Farmavita implemented the EvoBLOW regular SBO 6, delivering 7,200 1L bottles per hour and supported by several tailored enhancements. Two additional heating modules were added to the oven to extend heating time at lower temperatures, improving material stretching for TIO₂ preforms, reducing ventilation needs, and cutting energy use by 10%, while Air Recovery technology lowered air consumption by 30%.

The outcome

By integrating Sidel’s EvoBLOW solution, Farmavita successfully transitioned its professional product range to high‑quality PET packaging, achieving superior bottle consistency and improved resistance to pressure deformation while also reducing energy and air consumption through optimised heating and recovery systems.

By partnering with leading packaging experts at Sidel, we were able to create a bespoke solution that addressed our coloured PET and material distribution requirements, resulting in a much higher quality bottle with an elevated ‘look and feel’ that our customers will appreciate. In the future, we are considering integrating additional formats, such as 100ml bottles, rather than relying on an external converter, which would also reduce our packaging and transport costs.
