PET is used in the packaging of a wide range of productsand is widely adopted by customers in the beverage and home andpersonal care (HPC) markets.
In terms of HPC, PET is forecast to grow by a CAGR (compoundannual growth rate) of 3% from 2016 to 2020 worldwide. Growth isalso forecast in the use of PET in all beverage categories, withLiquid Dairy Products (LDP) anticipated to be the best performerwith a CAGR of 5%. In the USA, the market share of PET is expectedto see a CAGR of 2.2%, with bottled water leading the way with aCAGR of 2.9% over the same period.[1]
