Tehran, Iran: Sidel, a global provider of liquid packaging solutions, announced today that it will participate at the upcoming Iran Food + Bev Tec, a leading International food, beverage and packaging technology trade fair. The four-day event will take place at the Tehran International Permanent Fairgrounds, and will feature over 900 exhibitors from 23 countries, and over 30,000 attendees.
The event will bring together experts from the agro-food industry to exchange expertise and showcase their latest solutions. Sidel will be once again participating and will be presenting its latest innovations in Water, Juices, and Non-Alcoholic Beer PET packaging solutions, including its revolutionary Sidel MatrixTM System, RightWeight™ bottle concept, and their exemplary spare parts and design services.
"Sidel started operating in Iran over 30 years ago. Since then, we have worked to expand our presence in the region, and now have an installed base of more than 110 machines including blowers, fillers and labelers, and a customer base of over 35 companies," said Harbinder Kathuria, Regional Commercial Director for Greater Middle East at Sidel. Sidel mainly operates in the bottled water, juices, and non-alcoholic beer categories in Iran, with water being the preferred beverage of choice. As perEuromonitor,it was stated that in 2014, over 943.6 million liters of water were sold and is expected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 12.4 per cent by 2019. This trend is closely followed by Juices, which recorded 757.4 millions liters sold in 2014, and an expected CAGR of 9.5 per cent by 2019. In 2014 alone, consumer expenditure on mineral water, soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices was recorded at 1 billion USD, showing the immense growth in the market.
Iran Food + Bev Tec is the biggest agro food event in Iran, which provides a promising outlook for businesses and exhibitiors. Taking place in conjunction with Iran food + hospitality, and Iran Agro, the event is expecting over 30,000 attendees from Austria, China, France, Germany, India, Italy and Turkey. The Sidel booth will be located in the French Pavilion, Hall No. 38, Booth No. 04.4.
