The Sidel Nextgen Innovation Lab 2026 is a three-week, hands on experience in the world of packaging and innovation.
From 6 to 24 July 2026, 25 innovation-minded and motivated engineering students will be welcomed at Sidel’s site in Octeville-sur-Mer, France, where they will work on tangible deliverables, including proof of concepts, prototypes and business cases.
At the end of the experience, Sidel will also open doors to future opportunities, including internships, apprenticeships and full time roles.
During this three-week journey, participants will take part in a range of hands-on activities with concrete outputs such as proof of concepts, prototypes and business cases, across 5 focus areas:
In addition to technical project work, students will have multiple opportunities to engage directly with Sidel Leaders, discover how an international company operates, and to learn and grow in a real business environment.
The Nextgen Innovation Lab is open to motivated engineering students, attending universities in Europe, especially in France, Italy and Portugal.
Students are asked to upload their updated curriculum vitae and motivation letter by mid-May 2026 and they will be informed of the selection outcome by the end of May 2026.

One of Sidel’s Centres of Excellence, the Octeville site specialises in blowing technologies, mould manufacturing, and advanced packaging design. Thanks to the expertise of passionate colleagues, the site produces more than 130 blowers and 7,000 moulds every year.
With over 40 years’ experience in PET packaging and more than 60 years in blowing, Octeville is a strategic hub for innovation. Covering over 320,000 sqm, the site is home to around 800 employees.
