Laboratory Technician

Your Opportunity

PET Engineering is looking for a laboratory technician, who works for validation of lab tests. This position reports to Lab manager

Your Mission

• Carries out and records the execution of tests and laboratory tests using the quality documentation prepared.
• Manages the resources (tools, material, equipment, personnel ...) necessary for the functionality of the laboratory, providing all the material or tools necessary for carrying out the activities.  
• Manages the equipment present in the laboratory and in production and the calibration  
• Delivers routine maintenance on the laboratory equipment; updates and informs about new useful equipment in the sector.       
• Creates and validates the  methods carried out at the laboratory, making improvements or modifications if necessary, even according to the requests of the customer.   
• Formula proposals for research and development projects to be implemented with the collaboration of the Technical and commercial departments.        
• Organizes and manages research and development projects on new products, in collaboration with PET Engineering Technical Office and interested customers / collaborators.    
• Facilitates and supports the commercial promotion of laboratory activities.                                       
  Report to the Operations Department any difficulties in carrying out the analyzes according to the established terms       
• Report the discrepancies detected by the analysis with respect to the laws or the contract standards or the pre-established project standards.   
• Takes care of his professional updating by consulting the Italian and foreign technical literature concerning his work.          
• Defines the budget and cost forecast estimates.   
• Ensures the necessary confidentiality of the information and data received and generated in the course of the activities entrusted in compliance with the provisions of the law and the contractual requirements established with the customers.     
• Manages the equipment and safety signs of the laboratory and prototyping area.   
• Manages the company chemical products including those of PMS and AMS, collects the technical and safety data sheets and updates the list of chemical products and related risks.      
• Deals with waste disposal  coming from laboratory activities (PET, reagents or chemical products)

Your Profile

Bachelor degree or equivalent, in materials science or chemistry matters

More than three years of  working experience as laboratory tec.
