Part of the Services team, the Field Service Engineer has an important participation in the satisfaction of SIDEL customers while performing all type of customer on-site activities. For this position, the candidate should live in an European Country and should be mobile to live in France.
Be responsible for Equipment performance at customer plant based on safety, technical and contractual specifications,
Perform the on-site activities according to the Group standards and methods,
Be SIDEL entry point during site activities in front of the customer.
Clearly and professionally, interact with customer, regarding status of work being carried out.
Execute service and up-grade activity on site.
Diagnose problems, establish solution with technical dept. and/or technical support,
Perform technical interventions, diagnostic and technical visits on equipment.
Execute the installation, the start-up, the commissioning and the acceptance test of SIDEL equipment at customer plant.
Report regularly, as per timeline of the project, the progress to the Service Project Manager/Project Manager and direct Manager.
Inform direct Manager regarding activities and issues out of the contractual scope.
Apply SIDEL and Customer safety procedures on site and customer induction procedures.
Coach customer’s personal on SIDEL Equipment.
Prepare and post visit report.
Promote SIDEL services by reporting opportunities.
Adhere to internal policies and procedures.
Education & Languages
Bachelor degree or other equivalent degree in the field of automation, robotics, mechatronics or maintenance.
Professional Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in field activities,
Experience in capital equipment, particularly in the food or healthcare products packaging industry.
Experience in working in an international environment and in a matrix organization.
Well-rounded knowledge of electro-mechanical machinery with PLC Siemens S7 and Rockwell experience and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Automation design basic knowledge
Good mechanics basic knowledge
High level of customer orientation.
High willingness to travel in all European countries
Good knowledge about problem solving methodologies
Able to manage projects in a complex environment.
Autonomous with excellent ability to face changes and new situations,
Rigorous and organized.
