Your Opportunity

Sidel is looking for an Account Director East Africa, part of the Sales organization reporting to the Sales Director Africa. He/She will be responsible to define and implement area strategy to meet equipment sales and margins objectives, ensure customer satisfaction and management of agents and brokers for Sidel group in Beverage Business. He/she will also be responsible to detect market needs for future product development, price posi-tioning, etc.

Your Mission

  • Accountable for meeting budgeted sales and margins for the assigned region
  • Manage the account manager(s) and develop new markets within assigned region
  • Establish strong relationships with customers by building a network of contacts within their organization
  • Identify market potential and develop plans & strategies for developing business and achieving sales targets
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting                                      
  • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
  • Contribute to customer, market and competitor activities monitoring
  • Initiate product development strategies (short and long term) through the Product Development Plan
  • Represent Sidel at events/conferences/seminars when applicable and network with trade and sales organizations in the industry
  • Development of the Account Manager(s) to help them get the right skills for goal orientation
  • Manage Agents and Brokers for Sidel Group in Beverage Market.              

Your Profile

Level of education and languages:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent;
  • Business school degree is a plus;
  • Fluent level of English is a must; Foreign language as per geography is a plus

Required experience and skills:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in capital equipment sales and territory/business area management, particularly in the packaging and/or rigid plastic industry
  • Established customer base and network within the rigid container market
  • Significant rigid container equipment, market and industry knowledge
  • Market evaluation and analysis skills, planning skills; ability to develop and present a value proposition
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Sales management experience; excellent negociation skills; Experience in managing a team of 2+ managers
  • Ability to travel (>50%);
  • Good understanding of Sidel business context;
  • Expertise in project management;
  • Seniority in finance topics to be the right front end of our finance stake holders;
  • SAP certification on FI/CO would be a plus;
