Your opportunity
.We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR team and escalate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with payroll vendors, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, and providing comprehensive HR support to our 300 employees across Middle Americas (MX, COL, PER). This role also involves assisting the HR Manager with topics related to company culture, learning & development, and labor relations.
Your Mission
We are seeking a
detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR team and
escalate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing relationships
with payroll vendors, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, and
providing comprehensive HR support to our 300 employees across Middle Americas
(MX, COL, PER). This role also involves assisting the HR Manager with topics
related to company culture, learning & development, and labor relations.
Payroll Management
- Lead and oversee the
payroll process to ensure timely & accurate payment of salaries and
benefits.
- Provide HR-related support
to employees, addressing inquiries about payroll or benefits.
- Ensure compliance with all
applicable payroll regulations (IMSS, STPS, SAT, Infonavit, Fonacot,
Payroll Tax, etc.).
- Reconcile payroll data with
Finance or HR and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Build payroll process
knowledge and awareness through training sessions and clear communication.
- Leverage technology to
optimize payroll operations and implement efficient controls.
- Review and update payroll
policies and procedures as needed.
Data Management
- Ensure data integrity and
confidentiality by maintaining accurate payroll records and HRIS.
- Prepare and distribute
payroll-related reports to internal stakeholders, authorities, and
corporate office.
- Collaborate internally
with other teams to align employee data and payroll-related accounting
transactions.
- Serve as the primary HR
contact for process audits, certifications, and legal obligations (e.g. REPSE).
- Ensure data integrity by
conducting regular audits of payroll and employee data.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to
streamline payroll and benefits processes for improved efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry
trends and payroll legislation, implementing necessary changes.
- Develop and implement
procedures and controls to ensure compliance with employer obligations and
regulations.
- Recommend and participate
in HR system upgrades or enhancements related to payroll.
Employee Support
- Maintain high standards of
customer service, ensuring new Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Facilitate open
communication with employees to resolve concerns related to the company,
HR or policies.
- Provide resources and
guidance on HR related topics (career development, conflict resolution,
payroll, etc)
HR Collaboration
- Contribute to initiatives
that enhance company culture (Employee engagement and recognition programs).
- Promote employee
well-being (wellness programs, mental health resources, and work-life
balance initiatives).
- Assist in the development
and coordination of learning and development programs.
- Participate in HR projects
and initiatives, providing insights from a “people operations”
perspective.
Your Profile
- 6-8 years of experience
working in payroll, policies, processes, and HRIS.
- Deep knowledge about local
regulations and policies related to payroll and HR.
- High attention to detail,
accuracy, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused,
adaptable, with strong follow-up and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft
Office: Word, Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Native Spanish and strong
English oral and written communication skills.
