The Sidel Group, through its Cermex™ brand, today offers one of the largest ranges of machines for sealing corrugated cardboard cases using hot-melt glue and pressing.
The features of each machine vary depending on the type of case flaps (normal, short, partially or fully overlapping), the level of automation required (sealing of top and bottom flaps, automatic or manual infeed) and the required speeds (from 3 to 50 cases per minute).
The C641 machine spaces out the cardboard cases, centers them prior to introduction, folds the top flaps (the top and bottom flaps are glued simultaneously on the C644 model), glues and presses them.
Gluing of the outer flaps is regulated and sequenced. The pressure on the sealed case remains constant and homogeneous.
