SBO 4 Compact
|
The SBO 4 Compact is a linear blow molding machine for output capacities of up to 6,400 bottles/hour. The equipment is Sidel’s entry-level product for blow molding machines with biorientation targeting the lower output rate segment in plastic bottle production.
As the baby of the Universal family, the equipment features the same proven concepts and the latest advances found on the rest of the SBO rotary range. For over two decades, Sidel has built its reputation on this exceptional technology (linear oven, heating modules, cam control and blowing unit).
The SBO 4 Compact is 40 % more economical than existing rotary machines operating at similar production rates, yet it ensures top quality for even the most demanding bottle designs through superior material distribution and bottle lightweighting possibilities.
Equipped with 5 heating modules, the SBO 4 Compact can process the thickest of preforms. It accommodates a wide range of bottles with neck diameters of up to 43 mm and bottle heights up to 348 mm.
The equipment also features ground-breaking developments made especially for linear blow molding machines including a patented transfer that maintains a firm grip on preforms and bottles at every step in the production process and a special drive and automation system developed in partnership with Siemens.

- Bottle quality ensured through preform and bottle transfers by the neck, a high-quality parting line, necks maintained at cooler temperatures, optimum material distribution (thanks to precision heating) and the potential for lightweighting.
