Converter business model

Converter companies concentrate their core expertise on the manufacturing and supply of preforms and empty bottles. They produce mainly PET bottles, but often produce HDPE, polypropylene, and other types of bottles using extrusion technology.
The bottles produced serve numerous product applications such as water, carbonated soft drinks, juices, liquor, detergent, isotonic drinks, ready to drink teas, and more.

Since the early 1980s Sidel has remained focused on its converter customers’ business models and needs.

As a result, by 2005, Sidel had over 1,000 machines in operation at converter clients’ facilities.
