The sixth edition of the Journées de L’Emballage, a congress focused on the challenges facing the package and packaging sector, will take place on September 18 & 19, 2006 in Reims, France.

This congress is organized into conferences and round table discussions addressing the entire industry (package manufacturers, suppliers and users). It will look at issues facing the sector in terms of innovation, strategy and regulatory constraints.

Luc Desouter, R&D director at Sidel, will participate in the following round table discussion: Are packages made from renewable sources a sustainable and profitable solution to rising oil prices? A plastics case study.

His participation reflects Sidel’s interest and involvement in bio-materials, particularly PLA.
