At the 2006 Emballage packaging exhibition, the Sidel Group will present its unique expertise in bottle design stemming from 25 years of experience. In the spotlight will be new shapes and a technological breakthrough, Predis™, a revolutionary solution for preform decontamination.
For 25 years, Sidel has successfully combined its ability to designreative packaging and implement the right manufacturing tool to achieve one overarching goal. It strives to accommodate the need to innovate in an increasingly competitive market while respecting the technical and legal constraints of package production such as bottle lightweighting to reduce costs, packaging hygiene, and strength during palletizing.
Turnkey
As a result, through the five Group brands of specialized equipment including Sidel™, Simonazzi™, Gebo™, Alfa™ and Cermex™, the Group designs and installs turnkey packaging lines. From an original idea to commissioning the production tool, Sidel assumes full responsibility for a project at every step in the packaging process and distribution chain and throughout the lifetime of the equipment. In so doing, it remains committed to energizing customer sales and helping customers get the most out of their manufacturing solutions.
Sidel is constantly innovating to offer its customers the best package in terms of design, technology and solutions. That’s why, to improve the shelf life of sensitive products sold in refrigeration, Sidel has just designed and patented a new system, known as Predis™, that uses dry decontamination technology for preforms. Applied to preforms using hydrogen peroxide steam, the system represents an environmentally sound, economical and easy-to-use solution. Coupled with Sidel’s bottle design capabilities and the Group’s conveying, labeling and end of line equipment, the Combi solution with Predis™ makes it easy for dairy producers and fruit juice bottlers to gain a foothold in the ESL (extended shelf life) market.
Other innovative solutions for packages will also be demonstrated at the booth. Look for equipment like the new SW side-loading case packer from Cermex for RSC (American) boxes and wrap-around blanks.
