Fispal Tecnologia 2007: 23rd Internatial Fair for the Development of the Food and Beverages Industries
At the Fispal trade fair, Sidel is showcasing its complete portfolio of packaging equipment and solutions with a special focus on equipment produced at its Itapecerica plant in Brazil. Sidel has established a major manufacturing base in Brazil, which enables it to build strong relationships with the country’s major bottlers. In fact, AmBev recently placed an order for three complete lines.
The Sidel Group is one of the world’s leading suppliers of equipment and complete lines for packaging liquid foods in three major package categories: glass bottles, plastic bottles and drink cans.
At its 312-sq-meter booth, Sidel will be exhibiting:
- An SBO Universal 8 blow molding machine used for bottle testing at the Sidel Brazil facility, and
- Sidel’s latest mold and valve products.
Sidel experts in blow molding, filling, labeling, services and complete lines will all be on hand at the booth.
At the heart of the South American market
There are about one thousand pieces of Sidel equipment installed throughout South America including some one hundred complete lines primarily for carbonated drinks and beer. To meet the demand of this growing market, the Group has established a major manufacturing base in Brazil. Sidel’s plant near Sao Paulo enables the company to design and manufacture filling, rinsing, pasteurizing, conveying, mixing, palletizing and depalletizing equipment locally. This 25,000-sq-meter facility also houses one of Sidel’s four Packaging Solutions centers. Here experts in shape design, feasibility testing, mold design and manufacturing work on developing new packages for the South American market.
Three complete lines for AmBev
By building a strong base in the heart of the Brazilian market, Sidel has been able to forge stronger ties with Brazil’s largest bottlers. In fact earlier this year, AmBev ordered three complete lines and two additional blow molding machines. These three complete lines include SBO Universal 10-14 and 16-20 blow molding machines, Eurotronica FM-C fillers and end of line equipment (conveyors and palletizers). This equipment will be installed at various AmBev plants in Brazil, boosting AmBev’s production and ability to meet the booming demand for a new product launched this year on the Brazilian market.
