Below, you will find some examples of filling and Sidel Combi solutions developed for milk and liquid dairy products.
For pasteurized products, heat treated at 72°C (161.6 °F) to 85°C (185 °F), or micro-filtered and distributed in the cold chain, we propose a complete range of filling machines (mechanical volumetric Rotary MV, gravimetric weight GWm, flow meter which can be designed in Sidel Combi solutions for additional efficiency and hygiene Sensofill FMm) which can be designed in Sidel Combi solutions for additional efficiency and hygiene.
From low speed (3,000 bottles/hour) to high speed (50,000 bottles/hour), from liquid milk to viscous products or products with pieces, we have the filling solution that suits your product.
All our fillers are also able to handle HDPE bottles, and can be easily integrated into an HDPE extrusion blow-molding and filling line. The GWm and MV fillers can also fill glass bottles and cans.
We also offer second-hand, reconditioned machines from our large base of previously installed machines.
For PET or PP bottles
The Sidel Combi(blowing, filling, closing, in one combined system) offers maximum hygiene either without chemicals or with pre-sterilization of the pre-form.
- The Combi Classic and Select increase shelf-life without using any chemicals thanks to the hygienic conditions in the system and the fully controlled transfer process between the blower and the filler. All the other advantages of the Combi in terms of performance and operating costs, make this solution very attractive for ESL products.
- The Combi Ultra, with chemical treatment of the container before filling will achieve a longer shelf-life of up to 90 days. Sidel is developing an innovative solution, Predis ® , using hydrogen peroxide to sterilize the preforms before blowing the bottle. Once blown, the bottles can then be filled directly, in high hygiene conditions, without further treatment.
For HDPE bottles, and already blown PET or PP bottles
The Sensofill FMm filler can be proposed with a specifically designed multi wheel rinser. The Sidel multi-wheel system sprays hot PAA into the bottles at high pressure, so as to achieve maximum bactericidal efficiency. This is followed by a very efficient sterile water rinsing, with pulse spraying. The machine process parameters are adjustable and machine’s cleaning is fully automated.
Sidel propose three different systems for the packaging of aseptic milk and liquid dairy products in plastic bottles:
The rotary aseptic filler (Sensofill FMi), uses PAA for the sterilization of the bottle. The Sensofill FMi can handle both neck handled HDPE and PET bottles. The machine is also available in a Combi configuration for PET.
The Combi Ultra can also be used for the filling of aseptic products. In this case, the preform is fully sterilized with the Disis ® sterilization system, blown with sterile air, and filled on an aseptic filler.
Furthermore a linear aseptic filler (LFA-20) is available and is designed for HDPE bottles. This machine uses hydrogen peroxide vapor and is approved by the American Food & Drug Administration.
It is very important to choose the right material for aseptic products in order to achieve the expected shelf-life at the best cost. Sidel has acquired a large experience in this field and can help you in this respect.
Simultaneous container and product sterilization is a traditional method used in the dairy world if long shelf-life needs to be attained and the use of aseptic machines is not convenient. For sterilized products, Sidel can offer weight fillers and piston fillers which can fill either glass, plastic or cans.
