Sidel unveiled its new Eurostar EV filler at the recent Brau Beviale exhibition in Germany. It is an excellent combination of the most reliable mechanical technology and the most advanced electropneumatic technology dedicated to the production of beer in glass but also to CSD, water and wine.

Eurostar EV is a competitive high-tech electropneumatic filling technology based on the proven Eurostar technology. This technology, known as Eurostar HS, is a mechanical pressure level filler suitable for CSD and other beverages in PET or glass bottles. It guarantees high product quality and easy sanitization, reaches high speeds and can be configured in different versions according to the type of application.

The new development transforms the mechanical Eurostar HS into an electropneumatic
Eurostar EV, combining the best of current electropneumatic technology with an established reliable technology. Given the high quality and competitiveness of the mechanical system, the geometry of the filling valve and the level control system remained unchanged in the pneumatic version.

In mechanical filler, it is necessary to manually adjust the height of the filler valves based on bottle height. With electropneumatic technology, the whole operation is completely automated, which greatly simplifies and speeds up bottle format change-over.

Eurostar EV also improves hygiene conditions. This is achieved by following the golden rule of hygienic design: the fewer parts in contact with the product, the better the hygienic profile. The pneumatic filler valve control devices fully guarantee this aspect.

While in a mechanical machine, the filler is controlled by external mechanical devices, which is physically and conceptually "more rigid." Pneumatic control, in contrast, enables users to create ad hoc programs that facilitate the processing of various bottle types and temperatures, depending upon the product. Flexibility thus means being able to optimize the most diverse filling conditions with the best program.
