1,800 bottles per hour and per mold: Speeds are going up
The range can reach mechanical speeds of 7,200 bottles per hour on the SBO 4. These higher speeds were made possible by several improvements: extension of the orienting rollers, which improves preform stability at the machine inlet; and electrical stretching, which is fully controlled from the HMI, whose precision and repetitiveness ensure optimal speed for the machine. -
Electrical stretching: Flexible and reliable production
Stretching is ensured by a servomotor and ball screw assembly. This new stretching console enables permanent control of the stretching position and speed for a perfectly repetitive process. This principle also leads to better production flexibility, since adjustments are made automatically from the HMI, which means that no manual intervention is necessary. -
Human-machine interface (HMI): Simplicity for the operator
New functions have been added to the HMI, with the introduction of electrical stretching. Simple, ergonomic applications have been developed to fine-tune all of the process parameters and minimize manual adjustment interventions on the machine.
INNOVATIONS
Linear blowing machine
SBO Compact2 is a linear machine, using the bi-orientation blow molding principle. This range shares the same components with other machines in the SBO family but stands out with its linear architecture.
No functions are duplicated, auxiliary functions are eliminated, the machine is stripped of complex parts and it boasts a smaller footprint. The oven, transfer and blowing units all have independent drives. This offers the flexibility to adjust blowing time.
