Benefits
Dry preform decontamination
Predis™ is a dry preform decontamination method developed for Sidel’s Combi equipment. It guarantees the quality of sensitive products distributed at ambient temperature or in the cold chain (such as pasteurized and microfiltered milk, liquid dairy products and fruit juices). The process can also help maintain and even extend the shelf life of these products.
The Predis™ system is located in the oven entrance. First, the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2 employed as sterilized agent) is deposited onto the internal wall of each preform. Performs are then heated in the oven until they reach a temperature of up to 100°C which guarantees activation of the H2O2. In a constant controlled atmosphere, the system ensures reduction in microorganisms between the preform and the filled-capped bottle.
